1242 5AU has a Classic Hits based format playing an adult contemporary and Classic mix of music from the 70’s to today’s hits.

Classic Hits 5AU broadcasts across the northern part of the Spencer Gulf in South Australia. Our audience consists of the thriving cities of Whyalla, Port Augusta and Roxby Downs.

As Highway One runs through our heartland we also have abundance of tourists tuning in as they pass through or stop over. Classic Hits 5AU is proud to be recognised as an important part of our great community since 1938.
